    Nursery Curriculum Overview

At Lordship Lane Primary School, our Nursery curriculum is thoughtfully designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and nurture a love of learning in our youngest children. Through play-based and hands-on experiences, we help children develop essential skills across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Our Nursery topics are fun, engaging, and aligned with children’s interests, creating a vibrant environment where learning feels like an adventure. Below is an overview of the exciting themes your child will explore throughout the year:

    Term Topic
    Autumn 1 All About Me
    Autumn 2 Celebrations
Spring 1 Castles, Dragons, Fairies & Trolls
Spring 2 Yummy in my Tummy
Summer 1 Ba, Ba, Tweet, Tweet
Summer 2 Wheels, Wings and Floting Things

These topics are designed to support your child’s development in communication, language, personal and social skills, as well as early numeracy and literacy. Each theme incorporates imaginative play, stories, songs, art, and exploration to keep children engaged and excited about their learning.

We are dedicated to providing a rich and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive and grow. If you’d like to learn more about our Nursery curriculum, please feel free to contact us or speak with a member of the Early Years team.
